A Traditional All-Purpose Knife Used For Woodworking And Bamboo Crafting. The Blade For This Knife Is Long And Narrow To Carve And Shave Narrow Spots. Comes In A Handle And Scabbard Made Of Hoh (Magnolia). The Blade Is Beveled Only On One Side, Creating A Thinner Edge Compared To A Knife Beveled On Both Sides, Which Allows Extremely Fine Cuts. Also, Only The Beveled Side Requires The Main Sharpening So Less Time Is Required For Maintenance.
Baishinshi Is A Brand Produced By A Blacksmithing Family Who Has Been Forging Carving Knives And Chisels For More Than 250 Years. Currently The 7Th Generation Took Over As “Baishinshi Kunimitsu”, The Family Blacksmith Name.
